Dwarika is the main pilgrimage of Hindus. It is situated in the western coast of the state of Saurashtra. It is the one of four pilgrimages. It was establish by Lord Krishna about thousand of years ago. Lord Krishna was born in Mathura.  His childhood was passed in Gokul but he ruled in Mathura. Mathura was the first capital of Lord Krishna. But there after he made Dwarika his capital instead of Mathura. From here he ruled all over the country, defends religion, finished irreligion and punished the sinners.

Dwarika is a small town. There is a divine temple inside the wall of town. The beauty of Dwarika is splendid. The myth about Dwarika is that it was made by  own hands of Lord Vishwakarma, and said by him Shri Krishna was and prayed for the land and being happy Sumudra Dev  give him 20 Acre land to him. The temple of Lord Krishna Dwarikadish is the example of  beauty and architect. So, Lord Krishna was known as the Lord of whole world, because Dwarikadish temple is also called Jagat temple.

This temple is old about 2500 years ago and Lord Dwarikadish was established in the Garbh Grah of this. Here is a black rectangle is the form of Lord Vishnu. This beautiful building has five storeys. It is based on the 72 pillars. The height of this temple is almost 60 ft. The flag with picture of moon and Sun is flattering on the tomb. This most beautiful temple is amazingly situated at the meeting point of the River Gomti and Arab Sagar (Arabic Ocean).

A very high fort and big hall is also made for the peoples in this temple. There is two beautiful entrance in the temple. The main entrance is called ‘Moksha Dwar’ and southern gate is called the ‘Gate of Heaven’

About 12 k.m. far away the Temple of  Nageshwar Mahadev is situated here is  known as the one of the 12 Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. Besides of this holy and religious places there is many places like Gopi Pond, Rukmani Temple, Kund of Nispaap, Rannchod Temple, Temple of Durwasa and Temple of Trivikkim, Temple of Casesvar, Sharda Math, Wheel pilgrimage, Bhent Dwarika, Kailasha Kund and Sekh Pond etc.
