In the four countable pilgrimages in Hindus, one pilgrimage is Puri, situated in Odissa. It is tributed to Lord Krishna is the form of Lord Vishnu. Rath Yatra is the main and famous festival of  here. This temple is related with the Vaishnav customs and Saint Ramanand. The founder of the Godiya Vaishnav Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu lived here many years in the city of Lord Krishna.

According to stories the statue of Lord Krishna was found under the tree of Anjeer. Lord Jaggannath, Balbadhra and Subhdra were the main Lord of here. All those were taken out on very huge and decorated chariots for Yatra. It is known as the name of Rathyatra, and organize on 2nd Shukla Paksha of Aashad. The festival of Rathyatra is celebrated all over India in the Vaishnav temples of Krishnas and the decorated Chariots of Lord were taken out with the full of joy and feeling of Bhakti.

Jaggannath temple is really a part of the huge campus. It is surrounded almost 400000 sq. km. There is wheel established at the top of main temple of Lord Vishnu, The right angle of wheel is also called ‘NeelChakra’ and it is made by eight metals. This temple is countable in the marvelous temples of India because of its art and Odiya structure. There is 30 small temples which surrounded the main temple in campus. There is different God and Goddess situated in this temple and they were made in different times.

The interesting fact of this temple is that here is a very big Kitchen. Here prepared food to tribute to Lord and that is prepared with gratitude by 500 chefs with their 300 helpers. The important fact is the food is not cook in any metallic pots but it is cook in the clay pots.

It is said in the ancient holy books (Shastras) that the prayer of  break statues is prohibited but in the Jaggan nath Puri there is a totally a prayer and visibility of incomplete Vigraha.

Here is the statue of Lord Jaggan nath, Lord Balbadhra and Goddess Subhadra is established on the stone Baramadah in GarbhGriha.

According to history this statues were prayed long time before the construction of temple.

The important of this temple is known by this fact that Maharaja Ranjeet Singh donated more gold than Swarn Mandir. Todays millions of people come here for the darshan of Lord and tribute a huge donation.
